Greig City Academy

Our parishes are extremely proud of our links with the  Greig City Academy on Hornsey High Street – our local non-selective Church of England secondary school for boys and girls aged 11 to 19.

The school’s mission statement is ‘Achievement in a Christian Community’. This means students and staff all seek to live and learn in an atmosphere which reflects the values that are central to the Christian faith. It does not mean that all the school’s students come from a Christian background. Indeed the school welcomes people from many different backgrounds and faith traditions and those who have no religious faith. What is expected, however, is that everyone who attends the Academy will be fully supportive of the school as a Christian foundation.

fr patrick school Fr Patrick is the school’s Chaplain. He provides support for students, their families and members of staff. The school very much values the weekly presentations he produces for use in tutor time which give students a chance to think through sometimes difficult moral, social and ethical issues and to develop a respect for other people’s backgrounds, values and beliefs.

Father Patrick contributes to the development of a safe, inclusive and inspirational environment for learning where all understand the importance and value of young people’s spiritual, moral and social development in helping them reach their potential.
