Holy Trinity Foodbank

Since August 2013, Holy Trinity parishioners and local residents have been providing a vital support mechanism for people in crisis in the community. The Foodbank aims to help people in need out when circumstances mean that food is difficult to come by. The Foodbank does not provide a regular supply of food, but helps to get people back on a sustainable footing.

What can you do?

We need volunteers to help staff the distribution point for a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon from 1.30 pm until 3.30 pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people – volunteers and clients – and put a smile on the face of a neighbour. The Foodbank is run out of the Church Hall, and all are welcome to come along and lend a hand. Please get in contact with Alice who coordinates the Foodbank at Holy Trinity.

We also need donations of food! We would welcome contributions of non-perishables such as cereals; pasta; tinned fruit, vegetables, meat and fish; UHT milk. Please check the shopping list and bring your donation to Church if you are able, or to the Church Hall on a Sunday afternoon, or you could use the donations basket in the shop if you have bought a donation in Londis in Ferme Park Road.

Thank you for your support!
