Bishop Jonathan will be visiting Holy Trinity on Sunday 10th of August, when the Mass will include baptism and confirmation.

Confirmation sessions will take place in church every Tuesday between now and 10th August at 6.00pm.

If anyone is interested in being confirmed, please do speak to our churchwardens Cathy Edis or Colin Meade after Sunday Mass.

We are all warmly invited to the ordination next Saturday 19th July at 11.00 am and First Mass on Sunday 20th July at 5.00 pm of our former Pastoral Assistant Rev. Graham Haines. 

Both services will be held at St. Michael’s Church, Poplar Walk, Croydon CR0 1UA. The church is a short walk from West Croydon Station (trains from Highbury and Islington) or a 12-minute walk or a short tram ride from East Croydon Station (trains from Finsbury Park or Victoria.

This year we are very fortunate to have Bishop Peter Wheatley (former Bishop of Edmonton) with us in our parishes to celebrate Holy Week, and we are also joining with Holy Innocents, Hornsey for some of these very special liturgies.

Palm Sunday 13th April – Blessing of Palms, procession and Mass at Holy Trinity at 11.30 am

Monday 14th April – Mass and address at Holy Innocents at 7.30 pm

Tuesday 15th April – Mass and address at Holy Trinity at 7.30 pm

Wednesday 16th April – Mass and address at Holy Innocents at 7.30 pm

Holy Thursday 17th April – 8.00 pm – Sung Mass of the Lord’s Supper, washing of feet and watch until midnight at Holy Trinity

Good Friday 18th April – Children’s activities at Holy Trinity 10.00 am to 12 noon.

Good Friday 18th April – Celebration of the Lord’s Passion at Holy Trinity at 3.00 pm

Holy Saturday 19th April – The Easter Vigil and First Mass of Easter at Holy Innocents at 8.30 pm

Easter Day 20th April – Sung Mass and renewal of Baptismal Vows at 11.30 am at Holy Trinity.

It is with sadness, but with gratitude to God for a life well lived, that we record the death on 26th December of Fr. Brooke Lunn. Fr. Lunn was Vicar of Holy Trinity from 1979 to 2002, having previously ministered in the area at St Luke’s Hornsey for many years.

Fr. Lunn’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 22^nd January at 12 noon in the church of St Magnus the Martyr, Lower Thames St, London EC3R 6DN (nearest underground station – Monument)
