Holy Trinity has strong links with a number of schools in the local area, and our strongest links are with the two Church of England aided schools, St Aidan’s Primary School (just next to Holy Trinity) and the Greig City Academy on Hornsey High Street. Attendance at Holy Trinity Church is also one of the admissions criteria for St. Mary’s C of E Primary School in Hornsey.

Fr Patrick is part-time chaplain at the Greig City Academy, and is a Foundation Governor at St. Aidan’s School.

With our Pastoral Assistants, the ministry team are very much involved in regular school work, including reading with children whose first language is not English; leading assemblies; helping to teach in Religious Education classes. The schools pay frequent visits to the churches to learn about work such as the Winter Night Shelter as well as aspects of worship. Services such as Harvest Thanksgivings, Christmas Carol Concerts and other events are often held in church. Staff enjoy getting involved with the Winter Night Shelter and other community events such as the Trinity Fair.

This is one of the key ministries of the Pastoral Assistants, and some of their funding was given specifically for them to do educational work.
