Fr Mischa’s ordination to the priesthood

a group from Holy Innocents and Holy Trinity travelled to Brighton for the ordination to the priesthood of Fr Mischa Richards, our first pastoral assistant at Holy Innocents.
Just as in the Diocese of London, priestly ordinations in Chichester Diocese take place in parish churches, and Fr Mischa was ordained in the parish where he has been serving, of St Martin, Brighton.
Fr Mischa was ordained priest by the Bishop of Horsham, and Fr Tim and Fr Patrick took part in the laying on of hands.
Pray for Fr Mischa and Lea, for Fr Trevor Buxton and the people of St Martin’s, Brighton, where Fr Mischa continues to serve. Pray especially for Fr Mischa as he prepares to offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for the first time – on Tuesday 17 June.
Everyone at Holy Innocents is very proud of Fr Mischa, and we look forward to our trip to Brighton on Tuesday to attend his first Mass. Below are some pictures from the ordination, kindly supplied by Fr Patrick’s wife, Irena.

Lent Quiet Day

On Saturday 28th February Fr. Tim Pike led a beautiful and reflective quiet day looking at icons of Mary and Jesus. His reflections were based on writing by Rowan Williams, the former Archbishop of Canterbury. A number of people from Holy Trinity, Holy Innocents and St. Paul’s churches attended, and found the experience a very helpful start to their Lenten devotions.
