Haringey Young Musicians’ Concert

Last Sunday (14th September) we were all treated to performances by three talented young local musicians (pictured below).  Well done to all, especially to Jakaya who spent most of the afternoon running around and setting up the church!  The Haringey Young Musicians are heading to Peru in 2015 and have to raise £25,000 we are glad to have been able to help get these three talented young players a little closer.

Magnificent Midsummer Music

Over the past four Wednesday evenings in June we’re had concerts at which local musicians have come and played here at Holy Trinity. The quality of the music has been absolutely fantastic, with many residents from the local community coming to support them. This has really a really successful series, paving the way for next weeks Stroud Green Festival.

Thank you to the musicians and thank you to all who came and supported them.

Below are some photographs of the groups.

Fr Mischa’s ordination to the priesthood

Yesterday, a group from Holy Innocents and Holy Trinity travelled to Brighton for the ordination to the priesthood of Fr Mischa Richards, our first pastoral assistant at Holy Innocents.

Just as in the Diocese of London, priestly ordinations in Chichester Diocese take place in parish churches, and Fr Mischa was ordained in the parish where he has been serving, of St Martin, Brighton.

Fr Mischa was ordained priest by the Bishop of Horsham, and Fr Tim and Fr Patrick took part in the laying on of hands.

Pray for Fr Mischa and Lea, for Fr Trevor Buxton and the people of St Martin’s, Brighton, where Fr Mischa continues to serve. Pray especially for Fr Mischa as he prepares to offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for the first time – on Tuesday 17 June.

Everyone at Holy Innocents is very proud of Fr Mischa, and we look forward to our trip to Brighton on Tuesday to attend his first Mass. Below are some pictures from the ordination, kindly supplied by Fr Patrick’s wife, Irena.
